I have a secret obsession with cake platters... well not so secret anymore I suppose! I just love how a cake platter can be used to decorate a home, even in its basic simplicity with nothing on it.
Use it for it's original intended purpose with a pretty cake, lay out some biscotti or macarons, or why not even use it for dinner rolls? I've even used mine as a plant base. There are no rules when it comes to cake platters. Are you having some friends over? Stack two small ones for chips or cookies.
Valentine's Day is just around the corner, a small heart-shaped platter would be a wonderful gift for a friend, mother, or loved one... Wrapped up with chocolates, and it's perfect! And of course, what a great hostess gift would a colorful cake platter with a few homemade cookies make...
They come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, who can choose just one?
